DD is crawling and pulling herself up to a stand and with no bumpers in the crib, she's bumped her head in to the slots more times than I can count. Yesterday she got a bruise from that. Then today, she was pulling herself up on my leg. I was totally there supporting her and she still slipped and hit her head into the chair. It looks like a new bruise. I feel like such an awful parent. Chat Icon She's really fair so they pop up immediately--even if I ice it right away. She just seems so young for bruises!

my dd is now 14 months but has bruises all over. For months now. They are learning and bumping and falling down. They will be this way for a long time haha. Unless it's a really bad bruise I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes, they go away fast. Put ice on if it makes you feel better. DD bumps her head so amny times. At 6 months, on xmas, she had a black and blue eye. Chat Icon

babies fal. they get hurt. it normal.
i'd be more concerned if i heard a baby never had bruises. would make me think the parents are being overly protective and the baby is not getting the chance to try new (sometimes not so good for them) things. (Just my opinion. no one get angry!)

DS has bruises all over, many from the crib. not much i can do about it when he jumps around after he wakes up

Thank you! I was a kid who ALWAYS had bruises--still do as an adult. I guess DD is going to be the same way.

I just noticed one on DD today for the first time! She's not quite there as far as pulling herself up yet, but she's CONSTANTLY rolling all over the house and into things!
