Please recommend someone who can stain a fiberglass door
Our door is finally getting installed Monday.
I would like to get it stained asap.

ah.
Hmmm - I do know that when we were looking at doors - every place said - if you're going to stain make sure that you get a real professional to do it.
I don't know how true that is though. Do you have a neighborhood hardware store that you could go to to ask for recs?

Someone down the street just had it done, I may go knock on their door.

My father did it hismelf & he has the kind like Blu-Ize described-- fiberglass with a wood grain-- he bought a special stain & it came out very nice.

 I actually think you live near him, so if he was retired, I'd reccomend him, but my mom is actually trying to get him to STOP doing projects, so she doesn't have to hear about his aches & pains.
He is nowhere near a professional though, so if he can do it, anyone can.

 Really? Now I'm mad. We didn't buy that door b/c we couldn't afford to have someone come and stain it.
Now I'm thinking they just wanted us to hire their guy to do it....

I know it's not rocket science..hey I can install bathroom fixtures but for some reason I'm paintarded. I tried painting my laundry room and it's a disaster. DH tried to help me and made it worse. We are quite the team..
We are going to the lumber store today to get the moulding so I'm sure they can recommend someone. I'm sure they have lots of contractors that go there.
