Please reccomend your double stroller
My sister is due April 9th and my DD is going to be a year old in May. My mother will be watching both of them so I wanted to get her a double stroller in case she wants to go out somewhere.
I know she prefers one in front of the other rather than side by side but I'll take any suggestions!

We have a Maclaren Twin Triumph. I love it both seats recline and its very lightweight. Got it brand new on ebay for $200.

I really liked my city mini but the carseat adapter is HUGE. I sold it and bought the Britax B-Agile double because the carseat adapter is so much smaller and we love it! It's pretty much the exact same stroller as the city mini. If you don't need to use a carseat then both are equally great.
I also have the Maclaren twin techno which I also like. It's lightweight and folds small which may be a good idea for your mom.

Go with your mom. Some features are preferred by one person and not another. I didn't like the front and behind (as opposed to side by side) strollers.
Citi mini is easiest to fold.
Macclaren was too small for my kids. It is the smallest.
I have the Joovy, which was so cheap... I couldn't help but get it. Both kids sat well in it at 6 months and 2 years.

I have a Bugaboo Donkey and City Mini double. Both are really great for different reasons. Donkey is super easy to push and great for neighborhood strolling. City Mini is great for traveling and folds really flat into a car. I found the inline ones hard to push and prefer the side by side ones.

It's a really nice stroller and very inexpensive. I got a discount on top of the price (open box) and used a coupon. Cost me maybe $150... so I don't bat an eye when I park it next to people who are locking their strollers. Plus, I get a ton of compliments. The stroller is cute. I have it in lime green.
It folds easily & is easy to maneuver. It is big, but fits through all doors. It's heavy, but not much more than the others. The basket is awesome. I can carry anything in there (3 winter coats, one overstuffed baby bag AND shopping bags). It's belly bar is silly, so I took it off. The stroller kind of "collapses" shut, so can get a bit dirty on the ground. The shade is very good (but not individual). The seats recline separately & easily. At 3 months, when we test drove it, DD was comfy sitting in it (she SCREAMED in the Citimini) & we used it (car seat adapters don't go on).
My DS at 2 couldn't fit easily into some brands & the Joovy is roomy.
I have no regrets buying it... and as DS will be 3 this summer and DD will be 1.5, both are walking and we often just take a single stroller with us. This stroller is more for the chance that I have to go to the mall, walk down the street, or do an errand with both kids solo. When we go to most places, DS walks.

I had a front back with my snap and go and a side by side with the bumbleride indie twin. I much prefer the side by side. It is MUCH easier to control.

i researched and researched and did multiple tripes to buy buy baby. i was going back and forth between the citi mini double, britax b agile double, and the joovy x2.
i ended up with the britax b agile double. larger basket than the citi mini and the handle is adjustable. rides smoother than the joovy. folds easily. my daughter had plenty of room (2 1/2).
i bought it online at kohls with a 30% off coupon and used my kohls cash the following week to purchase the snack trays! So i ended up paying only $315 for the stroller and both snack trays, best deal i could find for all that!
