Please recc your non-rectal thermometer for your toddler...
I know rectal is the most accurate and if I get even a slight fever reading the other way I will always check but, rectal is just too much of a battle these days. What is more accurate - the forehead strips or the in the ear - please recc the one you have. TIA!

We use a temporal lobe thermometer and love it.
We bought it here.
It also take surface temperature, for bath water and formula. And it works in less than a second.

That's the same one we got. We tried the ear one and just couldn't get a good reading with it and my ped's office uses the temporal scanner also.

Thanks ladies! - Which one did you get and where - it seems like there are a number of these Exergen ones in different price ranges. Also, are they affected by the external temp? Like if DC is hot and sweaty b/c it is hot outside will it cause an off reading? TIA!
