Re: Please rec. your sunblock..

go to that cosmetics database... there's a lot of nasty stuff in sunscreen.

the best rated on that website was california baby.

It was $20 Chat Icon but it's completely safe, and works well. (you have to rub it a smidge more to get absorbed... but that's not too bad.)

yeah california baby all the way! if you use a BRU coupon you can get it for less. it's scary what they put in those! i'd also get the badger or tru kid if I could find it...may order them online sometime.

We love California Baby too-- it does take a bit to really get it absorbed, but I like that it's all-natural. DD is very fair and has been well protected with it (I do reapply every 2 hours as recommended b/c I'm neurotic Chat Icon )

We use waterbabies lotion for body and neutrogena stick for face and ears.

What kind of chemicals are in sunscreen?

Re: Please rec. your sunblock..

i have the banana boat baby spray which goes on so light, as well as the neutrogena baby which is thicker...

after i purchased baby specific sunscrean my pediatric dermatologist told me it was unnecceassary to purchase seperate sunscreen for the baby as there is absolutely no difference if the adult on is fregrance free... so from now on it is going to be whatever i can get on sale that is spf 50

Blue Lizard sensitive... does not irritate my DS's eczema

This is what I used last year since she was so little. This year I got Waterbabies SPF50 in the spray and it worked awesome! We were in NC all week and she didn't burn at all. I love the spray because it is super-easy to apply.

Both my boys have super sensitive skin, both had reactions to waterbabies- Blue lizard is hard to rub in because it has Zinc Oxide, but supposedly because Austrailia has a high occurance of skin cancer they have higher standards as far as sunscreen and blue lizard is their top product.
