Re: please post your favorite registry item & why
This probably won't be helpful for too many but the monitor. I am so happy to be able to have 2 video cameras (one for each ) in the same room while only having 1 handheld.

Lower Price Range: Aden & Anais swaddling blankets. They are SO soft, and I've heard they are the best swaddling blankets ever (not to mention they can also be used as burp cloths/car seat covers/etc.).
Mid Price Range: BebeSounds Angelcare Sensor w/ Sound Monitor. Love everything about it, it's the most "peace of mind" monitor on the market IMO.
High Price Range: City Mini Stroller. Lightweight, easy to use, and ORANGE (at least mine is!).

here's my question about the city mini. did you guys also register for a travel system? i am pretty confused as to what to do here. i want the ease of a lightweight stroller, but alot of my BTDT moms say the convenience of just snapping in the seat thingie from car to stroller is divine. what to do?

I registered for a snap-n-go frame...you can snap your carseat into that stroller frame (which is waaaay more lightweight than a travel system), and it's also cheaper than getting two strollers.

Sure thing! . It took me quite some time to understand ANY of it!! A travel system is a stroller that comes with a car seat (and can attach directly to the stroller). Something like this:

There's nothing wrong with a travel system, but they tend to be heavier/bulkier. A lot of women also choose to opt out of a travel system, but like the idea of keeping their babies in the car seat (e.g., so they don't have to wake them up) when putting them in the stroller. So--instead of a travel system--they buy a car seat and a stroller frame. The stroller frame gives you the ability to just snap the car seat right into the frame, but it's not as bulky.

Other women do a third option, which is getting a lightweight stroller with a car seat adapter. It's kind of like a bar that you can install onto the carseat, and then you'll have the ability to snap the carseat onto the stroller:

As for me, I opted to buy a lightweight stroller (I chose the City Mini), and the snap n go. I plan on using the snap n go (stroller frame) for the first few months, and then the City Mini for an everyday stroller once my baby has more stability with her neck. It seemed like the most practical solution for my lifestyle! Hope that helps!

I did the same thing. The snap and go is the same price as the chicco car seet adapter for the city mini. the snap and go looks much easier to me to use.

City Mini mommy crashing-you can get the snap and go attachment for the City Mini and you don't even need a separate snap and go. We got ours off of Craigslist for 35 and it goes right on the City Mini. We used that for the first few months and still do sometimes.

Really. It makes more sense to do that but it looked strange in pictures to me. Which car seat do u love using with the stroller?

I use a Graco Snugride. The City Mini Adaptor allows you to use Graco, Britax, Chicco, Evenflo-I think Maxi Cosi has a different adaptor, but the box should tell you.
If you get a universal snap and go frame, pretty much all carseats fit. I just liked the Graco Snugride because it fits with everything.
