Please help: what type of printer is better?

all-in-one
color laser
color ink jet

we wanted to get a fax/copy/printer/scanner but it might not be practical $$ for us.
So should we just get a color printer?

mostly documents for work and personal.

I don't see is doing too much picture printing (the on-line & stores can do that for us)

We kept putting off buying one because of cost, but now I need to print things like resumes.

We have an all in one. I love it. I have a separate printer for my work stuff ( heavy graphics). We have the hp all-in one with fax, and I also had a lexmark all in one. They are both great & are on sale A LOT at circuit city & Best Buy. Also BJs has good prices for them as well.

I have the HP all in one and I love it. You can use the photocards with it too....

I have the HP Photosmart 2610, but there's probably a newer one out.

Look for how many cartridges it needs. There's some that take like 10 different colors and you will constantly be replacing them and it will get $$$$.

The HP I have takes 2 cartridges and they last a long time.

That's all I can think of that really makes a difference.

I have to say, there is nothing like my laser printer!!! Granted, we only do black and white but the quality is soooo much better!

They are more expensie initally but the toner while expensive just puts out more than ink jet.

for the price of a good model (i paid 275) for my Dell ...

a, highly reduce the time to change print cartgides (sp) compared to buying and inkjet, then spending 60 bucks on new print heads when you do a major printing job....

b. laser is faster then inkjet

c. you can get photo quality prints from a good laser printer...

I had an HP all-in-one and absolutely loved it! After a year and a half it showed an error and wouldn't work. There is no good way to fix these. I was basically told to throw it out! I've been reading online and see HP is not getting such great feedback.
