PLEASE HELP... Video monitor

I have the original Summer Infant monitor that we all had about three years ago. I have used it every day for the last two and a half years... I love how the picture is so clear, but it's time for a new one. The sound only works if its cranked up really loud, and I just can't sleep like that.

I have tried the new digital summer infant one a while back when I was going to give my monitor to my parents. I didn't like the delay in movement (appeared almost ghost-like) and the picture just was not as clear as my original one...so I returned it.

Fast forward to today. I bought the Motorola one bc of the great reviews. I was leery of buying it bc if the price. I set it up today and I love all the features but the picture is grainy. That really upsets me for the price of the monitor.

Is this just the nature of all the new "digital" monitors? Can anyone recommend a new monitor with a picture that's clear like the old Summer Infant one?

I have one of the newer Summer Infant digital ones, and am also disappointed with the quality of the picture. My older Summer Infant (2 years ago) had a far better picture.

I'm not sure which older model you're referring to, since there are a bunch of Summer Infant ones. But we first had the Best View (just about 3 years ago) and loved it, but then it didn't work so well after a year or so. Got pregnant right around then with number 2, so we just decided to buy a whole new monitor and bought the Summer Infant Baby Touch. We've been using it close to 2 years now and absolutely LOVE it! Very clear picture, Zoom, pan, and intercom features all work great. Absolutely no issues. I highly recommend it!
