Please help me with solids for my 7 month old

I feel like the same issue I had with DS is repeating itself with DD. DD is 7 months old and I'm having trouble even giving her 1/2 ounce of solids a day. First, it's hard to figure out timing with nursing , naps, running errands, etc. we finally sit down to eat and sometimes she keeps her mouth open, sometimes she moves her tongue and pushes the food out and lately after trying for a bit she doesn't want to open her mouth. I know people say they send you home from the hospital to take care of a baby with no manual but I don't feel like i've needed a manual until now. It's so frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

She might not be ready. Food before one is just for fun.

Or look into baby led weaning.

Right now food is just for practice so don't stress it.
Just keep offering it, offering different things and different textures.
She may not be ready yet but it can change over night.

She might just need more time. Don't let this stress you out. My DD wouldn't eat ANYTHING till she was about 7 months. Her daycare used to drive me nuts- telling me kids half her age were eating chicken! She is now 9 months and eats so much that I order her a meal off the children's menu when we're out- and she usually finishes it. One day it'll just click, I promise!
