Please help me
Any advice please my son is a head banger! He is 17 months now and for the past 2 when he is mad or frustrated he bangs his head, either on the floor, wall of play pen or he will head-butt me. He has gotten me really bad a few times now and Im really starting to lose it! I worry for him, even though the dr says its normal and he wont hurt himself (I guess meaning he wont give himself a concussion but he has bruised his forehead) I try to gently put him on the floor and even cover the floor with my hand but then he actually bites my hand! When he hits me it freaking hurts, he's knocked my jaw out, got my chin yesterday and just now I think I have a black eye! I'm being abused by a 17 month old! I feel helpless and Im starting to scream and get angry at him which then just makes me feel horrible

Re: Please help me
I have no advice. just try to keep him safe. my almost 14 month old dd throws terrible tantrums when she is unhappy. she bites me, hits me, throws toys. i didnt realize infants/toddlers do this, i always imagined this behavior in like 2 or 3 year old children. i usually put her somewhere safe and alone when she is smacking me in the face or hurting me.

My 16 month old does it too. I just ignore her.
It's usually when my hubs leaves for work in the AM. She's so dramatic. Throws herself on the floor, bangs her head against the floor, I'm like "who ARE you? Sarah Bernhardt reincarnated"?
