Re: Please give me some info on Lake Grove

Lake Grove is a part of a few SD. A part goes to Sachem, some Middle Country, some three village.

Overall I think its a pretty nice place - i looked at a few houses there during my search. Its close to shopping and the mall. Some of the neighborhoods have small pieces of land.

and if you are in the village, you have to pay village taxes too. But I found the taxes were on the low side compared to the surrounding towns - but like I said the houses I looked at were on 60x100 - which is small, imo, for suffolk.

I rented in Lake Grove for a while. Lots of pluses.
Close to shopping, restaurants.
Great school districts.
Beautiful homes. Some are small, but, nice.
I really liked it out there.

Re: Please give me some info on Lake Grove

You would want to stick to the Sachem schools, they are better. We looked in Lake Grove. Beautiful area. But it's just to far for us to get to work. So we decided against it. But otherwise it's a very nice area. Go to some open houses, even if they aren't in your price range. Get a feel for the area. There is a lot of congestion in the area do to the mall, but it really is a quite area. GL! You can do searches on here for Lake Grove. I posted some on here recently. GL! Chat Icon

Lake Grove is a nice area. We just bought it Nesconset which is right there. I disagree with the previous post about school districts though, I would definitely choose Three Village over Sachem and Middle Country is pretty good as well.
