Pleasant surprise re:maternity leave
So I am going from a person in training amd being hired as a full time staff. I was stressing big time bc I am taking maternity leave in-between and thought it was totally unpaid. Well, I got the papers today and found out it's not unpaid! I get to take accrued sick and vacation time and carry it over! That is a HUGE relief! 2-3 months of paid leave!!!
I am so over the moon over this and now I'm confident I made the right decision about this job. I quickly left another potential position I was supposed to take when this one opened up. I felt really bad about it but now I know it's the right thing for me!

I was crying for the first time this pregnancy last night about money etc (except for when my friend died 2 months ago) so I am over the moon!
