Plastic Ocean
Did anyone watch this documentary on Netflix? How depressing.... I feel like it is already too late and that is VERY scary. Plastics really need to stop being produced, like now, IMMEDIATELY. Just wondering what others thought of the eye opening documentary...

Re: Plastic Ocean
I didn't see the documentary but saw a story on line a few days ago about a massive floating island between Cali & Hawaii is now 3x the size of France. I don't know if that's exaggerated or not, but humans need to clean up their act! This is awful.

Plastic Ocean
we are a throw away county, from throwing TV instead of repairing to soda cans instead of recycling.

Re: Plastic Ocean
I watched the documentary and made me realize how much dependent we are of plastic, I’ve been wanting to slowly find alternatives for plastic because it’s not good for us health wise but once I watched this documentary...the impact that it has in our environment is scary and so sad!!! I firmly believe we still can make a change but it starts with ourselves and it’s a work in progress. Awareness plays a huge part as well!! Oh and I recently bought a bracelet from 4ocean, their team do trash clean ups from the ocean and coastlines. It’s a great cause, here’s the link if u’re interested...

Re: Plastic Ocean
I haven’t seen the documentary, but it sounds interesting.
I did see a story about it the other day. I think they said it was the size of India. I try to reduce my plastic usage, but I feel guilty. I never get plastic bags at the supermarket and I try to reuse ziplocks when possible. I love what Suffolk County is doing for this very reason.
