Planting Q's!

I asked my mom but I figured I'd ask here as well. I bought 2 rosebushes and 3 peony plants over the weekend...

They're already plants so I'm wondering how quickly I need to plant them?

if they are potted then you can wait if you wish and just make sure they are watered/sunlight if they are just the root you have a week or two unless you keep it in a dark semi moist spot (or this is what i have been told)

I would suggest not planting the peony and rose bushes until at least late april. Keep them watered in the pots and in a sunny location til then. Also if the temps dip into the low 30's bring them indoors at night and back out in the morning.
