planning a shower for august
im due the beginning of october (im 12 weeks now) and my mom and i realized that the shower should be in august.
i have limited weekend because my sister and brither in law travel for work.
i pretty much know the date or 2 that works and we know where we want to have it.
is it jumping the gun a bit if we go today to book it? i just feel like summer could book up so quickly and then we'd be out of luck. technically it's only 5 months away.

No you're not jumping the gun. Places book up quickly especially during the summer. Being that it's almost April you can put down a deposit and reserve the place. Don't purchase anything for it yet ; for that I would wait until 20+ weeks.

I don't think it's jumping the gun, I think it's good planning. That's one less thing you'll have to worry about.

I'm all about doing things early. The earlier the better. That gives you extra time to prepare everything, put things together, wash things and figure out what else you still need that you didn't get.
