Places for a party?
Do you know of any places in Queens or Nassau that rent out a room/space for small parties (70-80 ppl)? I'm thinking of community centers, churches, Jewish centers, etc.
I want to throw a party for my mother's 50th bday & all the restaurants seem too expensive. We will provide the food if it's not included.

Knights of Columbus
VFW's
they all rent out rooms. My friend paid $350 to rent out a VFW in Kings Park for her DH's 30's bday.

Yeah. I called a Knights of C in Queens & they wanted $375 for 4 hrs & you have to pay $65 to use their soda (which I thought was weird)
