Place cards for a bridal shower party for 35 ppl
Would you do place cards or just let people sit wherever?
Does it depend on anything? I mean everyone gets along, the only thing I can think of is having the first two tables (family of the Bride) up front but that's it.
Which would you prefer if you went to a party?

ehh do them! why not?
it's only 35 so it's not a lot of work and you can just have them on a table as people come in, they'll take it and then you know where people are sitting.
that way, you can sit groups that will socialize well together and lay it out exactly how you want.
we did this for my shower and it worked out great-- it was a cute touch too.

I don't like place cards for showers. I'd rather pick who I sit with.
For the most part people are bored with showers, everyone dreads them. but they are obligatory and we all go to them. I'd rather not make someone more miserable and tell them where to sit.

That's what I was thinking it not a lot of people. I went to a christening there were about 60 and we had place cards. For a size like that you needed it.
The only negative I can see is that for the idiots who didn't rsvp and decide to show up anyway they may take someone's seat that rsvpd. That happened to me, I was a little late for a party and had nowhere to sit it was a little embarrasing having everyone move in to fit me.
In point I kind of would like to see those people show up and not see a place card for them.
Not sure what to do. I have about 7 people to call, if I do decide to call.

I had 35 and my mom/sister did place cards. I'm so glad they did, because I was at a shower with no assigned seating, and the tables were ridiculous. There were 4 at 1 table, 12 at another. (They were made for 8!)
My Mom used biscotti as placecards!!!

I agree. I love place cards and they are so cute. You can get them so they match the theme/decor.
