pizza dough

Anyone have any tips on how to spread pizza dough> I bought the pillsbury yesterday and then couldn't spread it so gave up and ordered pizza :)

It has to be room temperature, out of the fridge on the counter for at least 20-30 minutes. Then you need lots of flour, I do mine directly on the counter, roll the dough around in it so it's not sticky on you hands and start kneading it. I knead for a good 10 minutes. Then it should be pliable enough to roll out rather easily. Start with a ball and roll in all different directions. (roll the rolling pin in flour too while you are doing it) Sometimes I like to try to toss it in the air like they do in the pizzeria. I haven't really had any luck but it cracks my kids up.

It usually spreads very easily for me... I spread it on a cookie sheet since its a rectangular shape....I know if its expired it doesn't spread at all, maybe thats why it didn't spread? Chat Icon

I find this is easy, too. Find the seam and unroll it.

LOL aww...yea theres a seam, you just unroll it . good luck next time...its really yummy so dont give up on it just yet!
