Pillows??
Bella will be a year on Friday and she has been bunching up her blanket and using it as a pillow to sleep on...
Can she have a pillow yet? DH and I are thinking of getting her one, because it's quite a sight to see her trying to fashion this out of her cotton blanket.

Re: Pillows??
We gave Joseph a real pillow when he moved into a "big boy" bed - at about 19 months. If she's doing it anyway, I think you're better off with a pillow. The last thing you need is her head getting tangled in the blanket. A pillow would eliminate that problem.

Re: Pillows??
My daughter is 15 months old, and we have had one in her crib for about 3 months already. She loves it! I believe that she is definately sleeping much better because of it.

Re: Pillows??
OMG- Ryan is doing the same thing...
I thought it was just a fluke thing- but every night he's been doing this... I never even thought of the pillow thing....
I think I might be too chicken yet.... but if you try it with Bella and have success let me know!

Re: Pillows??
I got Andrew a pillow when he was about 15 months old. I bought one of those little airline sized pillows at Bed Bath and Beyond and he's still using it now in his big boy toddler bed.

Re: Pillows??
Aidan started using one when he went to his twin bed at 22 months. I got him this one from Leaps and Bounds it has a nice flannel case.
He uses it but actually better than that and what he prefers is a regular old pillow I had, a real flat one. Not too high and cushy so its the right height.
I would have put it in the crib with him if he needed one, but he just wouldn't stay there.

Re: Pillows??
I think I'm behind the times I'm still too afraid to even give her a blanket Don't they make "baby" pillows?

Re: Pillows??
They have small pillows for toddlers on onestepahead.com
We have a few stuffed animals in Emily's crib that she loves to sleep with. I think that a pillow would be fine and would be safer then her wrapping her blanket around her head like Barbara said.

Re: Pillows??
I would be afraid to give Hayley a pillow, she sleeps mostly on her stomach.

Re: Pillows??
I think I'm the minority here but Ava has been sleeping with a pillow for the past few months (She's almost a year).....it's the only way she can fall asleep......She needs to have her face nuzzled against something.
