Pillitteri vs. Franchina
Sorry to bombard w/qs but I have no one to bounce it off of.
I have been seeing Eileen Pillitteri my entire menstrual life. But she doesn't deliver so I saw Mark. Had an OK experience.
So I went to Dr Franchina. I liked him, but was not "in love" with him.
Here are my thoughts pen to paper.
Mark has the bigger practice so I believe he has more experience.
I want to avoid induction/c section at all costs.
I get the feeling that Mark will be a bully. As in, if I'm overdue he'll want to induce right away and if I say I don't want to, he'll be a jerk about it? Make sense?
I get the feeling that John will take my feelings into consideration.
These are just feelings and I have no delivery experience with either one so this is where you ladies come in.
Can you share your positive and negative experiences with both doctors?

Re: Pillitteri vs. Franchina
I see Dr. Pilliteri and have nothing but good things to say about him (except the wait times!).
I do, however, hear ALOOOT of complaints about him/his practice.
I don't know the other doc.

I used Pillitteri and found him to be both a jerk and a bully. If you don't want an induction/section, I would look elsewhere. I wish I had. I don't know the other doctor so can't help you there! GL!!

Re: Pillitteri vs. Franchina
I just wanted to add that I was desperate for induction with DD because I had a medical issue that made my body itchy from head to toe (Cholestasis). I literally had to beg and cry to get him to induce me when I couldn't take the discomfort anymore. My sister just had a VBAC with him and he was on board.
SO- I wouldn't say he bullies into sections/inductions at all.

Ita...i was bullied into an induction/c section because he was going away for Labor Day weekend and did not want to have to come back from Fire Island to deliver me. My delivery was filled with unnecessary stress thanks to him. Fm for more info

Re: Pillitteri vs. Franchina
I have heard the same about Pillitteri and saw first-hand his "handiwork" as the weekend I delivered at Good Sam, he had a million patients there and he was gone..on vacation and induced them all for his convenience..if you want a dr. in the area, I love mine-Dr. Antoniadis...
