Pilates in 1st trimester?
Hi everyone! Just got my BFP yesterday and not seeing my dr. til Monday.
I remember him telling my in my first pregnancy that pilates and yoga were fine and so is cardio as long as I keep my heart rate under 140.
I remember asking my yoga teacher if there was anything to avoid, and she said inversions and deep twists. I didn't do pilates back then, are there any specific pilates moves I should avoid?
TIA - want to go to a 10:00 class!

In the first tri really most things should be fine, even crunches etc. After 4 months you should avoid laying flat on your back.
If anything feels super strenuous or uncomfortable I wouldn't do it, just wherever you are comfortable.

Re: Pilates in 1st trimester?
During my first pregnancy i was about 8 weeks and I started spotting after doing a pilates mat class. After that I continued to work out but stopped doing pilates. i would just tell the instructor you are pregnant and make sure they give you any modifications.
