Picking baby up from hospital outfit..

So last night, we went to my moms house to pick out an outfit that the baby will be coming home in (we're keeping everything at my parent's house until I deliver).. and I had NO CLUE what the baby is supposed to come home in. I feel like such a clueless parent . What do you pick the baby up in? What am I supposed to have ready at the house when the baby gets home? WHAT DO I DO?? HELP ME!

My ds was a summer baby (July) we brought him home in a onesis that had a matching blanket. We also had a light sweater for him since I knew we would have the ac on in the car and at home.

I had the changing table set up with everything a few weeks before ds arrived. I had all the clothes washed and ready, as well as some bottles. We had the bassinet, infant chair and swing all ready too.

Was the onesie a short sleeve or long sleeve? And did it have the footies? Sorry for all these questions, I'm just so confused. My baby is also due in July.

DD was born on July 21st. I brought her home in a "nice" onesie. Short sleeves, no feet. It was insanely hot last year.

We had everything set up before she got home. In reality you will need a place for the baby to sleep, diapers, wipes, changes of clothes and a method of feeding the baby. Everything else can happen over time! Good luck!!

we are so i have 2 outfits.
the girl is a shirt and pants with socks and hat
boy is a onesie with pants i think, socks and hat.

light blanket to match each outfit.
