Petite Jeans

I'm 5 feet tall, so even petite pants (like from Loft) often have to be taken in. I need new jeans, the last ones I bought were at Express several years ago and they just don't work anymore since they are low rise-ish. I'm a mother of 2, I'm pretty fit, but I'll never get rid of my slight belly, curves (ie muffin-top), so I need regular rise jeans. Any tips? Oh, and straight leg or boot cut I guess is what I want, haven't even attempted the "new" skinny.

I have just accepted the fact that all my pants need to be altered. For the summer, I am finding the petite capri pants from Ann Taylor Loft fit PERFECTLY. They also have many different lines there (ann, marissa, and 1 other I believe) ...... I know you said petite Ann Taylor hasn't worked for you but have u checked out the capris? And, all the different lines? They all have a different fit.

Other than that, I find Hudsons fit me really well.

For the most part, all of my regular pants get hemmed. I haven't figured out any ways around it!
