PETCO

Anyone ever have their dog groomed at PETCO? What was your experience with it?

Re: PETCO

I've had both my dogs groomed there many times. They do a great job and are wonderful with them. I have a 70lb rottie mix and a puggle.

Thanks for the info!
Which PETCO do you go to?

Also, about how much does it run you and how far in advance do you have to make an appointment?

Oh, I read online that they need proof of vaccinations before grooming - does that need to be brought when I drop my dog off?

I've used the one in Selden and Commack. They do require proof that your dog has had a rabies vaccination. Price depends on the size and type of dog you have and what you want done. I usually call a couple of days in advance and have never had a problem getting an appointment.

Re: PETCO

We brought our dog to petco to get a bath/nails clipped/teeth brushed/ears cleaned.
It was a good experience I guess. I mean how can they mess up a bath?
I've had problems getting appointments for him. Probably because I like to do things at last minute Chat Icon
When we wanted to get his hair cut, they were booked, so we found another groomer in our area. We had a good experience there so that's where we'll be going from now on.

Murray used to go there until he got kicked out because of his ageression issues. Chat Icon

They always did a great job (even as he was trying to bite them) and they were always great to deal with .I highly recommend them

Re: PETCO

I send my dog to Petco to get groomed.
We tried many different groomers in the beginning, and had such a hard time finding one that we felt comfortable with. We've had no problems with Petco and they always do a great job!

Re: PETCO

I've gotten my dog groomed in the Petco in Bayshore and the one in Kips Bay and Union Square plenty of times. They do a good job. I prefer Petsmart in Huntington though. They do a better job.
