My answer is none of the above - Misty was purchased at a pet shop, but we got her through the rescue. Her prior owners couldn't handle her, she was a little too overactive for them.

Anyone I know who actually did get a puppy from a Pet store the Puppy had health problems.
My one friend's family actually rescued a goleden retreiver they were going to put her to sleep because she wasn't sold and had a cold and it was cheaper to destroy her than to take care of her medical needs.
She has hip problems but is the sweetest dog ever.
