Re: pet insurance

i have VPI for both my yorkie and boston. it's more worth it if the dog ever needs a surgery (there are things that they dont cover like my yorkies cherry eye). when i go for a regular visit i usually get back about $130 after i pay about $300 out of pocket. however, when my yorkie had a small growth removed from his paw last year it cost us $730 and we got back $500. i pay about $35 a month per dog. let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: pet insurance

I have VPI also. I think it's totally worth it...I got it originally when I got my dog because I never wanted there to be an instance where I couldn't AFFORD to do someting for my dogs health..and sometimes it can get expensive..

My sisters dog is in surgery today and she never got pet insurance like i told her and it's costing her 2500...but she had to do it...

so I totally recommend it..especially in case something major happens

what is the cancer rider when i looked into the plans they had the cancer care and for the package i was looking at it was about $30 a month and that was with the two cancer options. Is there more for cancer?

My dog just lost her battle with cancer we did chemo for 2.5 years and it was very expensive.

from what i see you add it onto your existing policy. it's additional cancer coverage.

Re: pet insurance

I have VPI also. I have three cats and we just got a dog. I have the standard plan for all of them, I'd love to get them the superior plan, but it is just to expensive for all of them together.

Re: pet insurance

We have VPI. They are truly the best one out there I think.
We have 2 cats and have a pretty decent plan- we only opted out of the emergency plan for drowning, animal attacks, being hit by a car- because they are strictly indoor cats.
I think the fees are worth it for peace of mind.
With just one vet visit for something big you will make up what you pay out.

check them out online- just google VPI pet insurance.
