pesto without nuts
has anyone made a pesto before without nuts? I have a bunch of basil but i'm pretty sure you need pine nuts which i don't have. but, i do have evoo and garlic! just not sure if it would come out too good, thoughts?

i've made it without nuts but you need parmigiano reggiano also and you're good to go.

DH has diverticulosis so I never use nuts! honestly, I don't feel like they make a big difference.... you just need EVOO, garlic, oil, Parm or pecorino romano and some black pepper!

I've never made pesto w/ pine nuts. I always use walnuts. I am sure you can leave out nut if you don't have any on hand.
