Anyone worked with one in the Western Nassau County area? My sister slipped on ice and now has a herniated disk/lower back problem. She will be laid up for about 6-8 weeks ... has little kids to care for too! I happened outside a local business on their property. She is unsure what to do.
FM me please, thank you!

Re: Personal Injury attorney
I don't have one. But did she contact the owners at the time of the accident? I would think she go could through their insurance.

Re: Personal Injury attorney
I would contact an attorney first. Not sure about New York, but general liability medical payments coverage limits are usually pretty low.

Did she notify the business that she slipped/fell?
It can takes months even years to get a PI claim.
I had a slip/fall at a club - it took about 2-3 years to get a check which ended up being only about 25% of what I paid out of pocket for medical costs.
Sent a FM with info that you can at least call and ask the attorney.

General Liability no fault is usually around $5,000 for medical expenses (this is not if she does a law suit which could take forever)
Have her contact the business so they can contact their insurance company.
