Permits Finally!!!! - update pictures of outside construction only

Sorry, I am not a regular poster...But hope to post more now that things are going to start moving along.

We live in a 2 bedroom condo and have two kids, one just turned 14 years old, but the other one is 17 months. We love our condo but started looking for a house when I was pregnant with the new baby - but we were only looking in certain locations so it was very limited...made offers in a few places, a couple of them were close to being materialized but fell thru. We finally bought a house back in June of this year, the property was ok but the actual house is a small one story cape barely bigger than our condo so the plan was to stay in our condo for now renovate the first story and add a second floor. we've been back an forth working with our architect and GC but the first plans were too ambitious and would have needed a variance plus GC said it would also cost double than what we wanted to spend. After a lot of meetings, some tweaking of the plans, and hiring an expeditor we were told permits will be ready on Monday. We are really excited to start GC estimates 4 months so hopefully not more than that because we really want to be in our new home before summer so that we can either rent the condo or put it in the market. Luckily after we bought it in June, e hired a friend stager and were able to rent it for July and August. (I added pictures of the house before and after staging in my album) - After work is done, new house should have a complete transformation and looking forward to sharing with you those pictures then as well as sharing the process and hopefully getting feedback from you guys when picking everything and making decisions.

So, I don't post a lot but wanted to post pictures of the construction which started in the end of January.

We added a second floor to our house, the inside framing is done as well but I only have pictures of outside.

Don't know how to post pictures but putting links to my album. In my album New House you can see the before, and album New House Construction shows the outside of the house as it is now.
So far the inside is only framed, so I will post more pictures when more progress is made. There are more before pictures of the inside when the house was staged for renting last summer House after staging

Kitchen cabinets have been picked as well as plumbing fixtures...We are really hoping we can get in before the summer. and we are in the process of getting landscaping and cabana designs ready to submit for permits requests, but we don't think will happen this year as it will be a variance
