Permit Costs for Alarm?
We are putting an alarm in our home.
Do you know if the Town of Hempstead charges a permit fee?
Also, can anyone recommend a company other than Slomins?

We pay the Police Department and the Fire Department permit fees each year...come out to around $100.

My DH does alarm systems. He said the town doesn't charge a fee, but Nassau County does. $65 for the police department and $75 for the fire department.

Hey ang..we are putting in one too. We are using slomins..hope they are good. We got a great deal b/c we are using them for oil. the guy said it was 100 for the permit (police department)...my question is... i hear u get charged if ur alarm goes off by accident after a certain amount of times.

we are also and they told us in nassau it's a 100 for two years. It used to be three years, but they just changed it.

in our town if it goes off by accident more than 3x you get a ticket...
