perfumes around babies
do any of you wear perfume around ur infants, i haven't since he was born, but since we are going somewhere today i would like to spritz a little on. Do you think its ok? I thought i heard once, that the baby wont be able to tell your natural smell or maybe thats just if you BF?

When DD was born, it drove me nuts when people would come over loaded in perfume. I didn't wear any for awhile unless we were going some where special. I never heard anything about them not recognizing your smell, I just didn't want her breathing in a strong smell like that. In my opinion, it would be fine, just let it settle a little before you hold him.

I dont realy like strong perfumes but Ive always worn body sprays (like from Bath and Body Works) and it never seems to bother DD...
she has always been attached to me so I dont think the thing about covering up your natural scent played a part...

I usually wear pretty light stuff. I hate when people know they are going to be seeing Taylor and still load on a crapload of perfume. When we got back from the wedding reception last saturday, she reeked. I put her in the tub as soon as we got home to get her smelling like a baby again

I wear perfume around DD. Not a lot though. It's a light scent anyway (Pink Sugar).

I couldn't agree with this more. It drives me NUTS!!!!!!!!! I posted a month or so ago about this, how I hate when my daughter reeks of people's perfume

I wear a very light perfume called "In Love again" By Yves St Laurent... its so light you can hardly even smell it...
