People who rent from a complex...?
We just started renting from a rental property owned by fairfield. We got our rent bill in Saturday's mail and it has to reach MD (due by 1st). Our old property used to send our bills a lot earlier. It does not seem like we have an awful lot of time to get it to them. Does it just have to be postmarked by the 1st? If it's mailed tomorrow, there is no guarantee it will get there by the 1st.
I just don't want to be considered late. If it has to be in their hands by the 1st, why would they send it so late???

You're fine as long as it's postmarked 10/1. Fairfield usually mails them out around the 20th. Theoretically, it should only take 1 day for first class mail sent from LI to reach MD. Don't stress over it. You usually have a 5-10 day grace period anyway.

i don't rent from fairfield, but we never received a bill. our rent is the same every month and is due the 1st, but we have until the 10th to pay it.

We just moved from an apartment complex, the bill for rent would NEVER come before the 30th and it was due the first. When we signed our rental agreement they let us know that, they also let us know to have the check in the mail to be THERE for the first because if we waited for the bill in the mail we would absolutely be late 
I just wrote down the address where to send it to and I mailed it the 20th of every month - and threw out the bill when it came in..

i made sure it was postmarked before the due date or on it...that was fine for us.

I rent from a Fairfield Complex also and the rent is not considered late unless it is received after the 10th. I get paid on the first so I always send it in after that! I've been living here for 6 years and have never had a problem.

I don't rent from fairfield but we get ours around the 20-25th. I usually mail it out before but there is a grace period. As long as its postmarked on the first you should be fine.

i was wondering though if u could pay online? i do all my bills online. i dont even know where my check book is because it's been so long since i needed it
