people that just start talking
do you have these people around you at work? this woman just talks out loud, just for no reason. why do people do this? she'll just start talking to no one inparticular about her dog or food.....weird....

Sounds like she's starved for attention.
eta. the only people around here that talks to themselves are downstairs in Penn Station. Unless you count my boss who will talk & I just don't listen.

We have something similar -- there's one person that sings out loud a lot while she's walking around, not so much random conversations with people. But we have a whole group of people that are so loud all the time -- yelling down the hall type people - that I want to throw rocks at.
