People not RSVPing to party

Hi-

I have a quick question. I sent out invites to a bunch of my sons classmates in preschool. The RSVP date was this past Sunday and there are still about 5 kids whose parents have not responded.

I would like to write a short note to them asking them to RSVP. Any suggestions on what to write?

Can you just call them? That way you can most likely get it all ironed out without having to wait for another call or have them put the note aside & forget about it again. Other option is to not even call and count them out. I did this with my DD's bday when 2 people from her class didn't respond at all. One didn't come and one did. Luckily, I had a goody bag intended for my older son that I was able to bribe him into giving up bc I wouldn't have the heart to not hand one to the kid whose parent didn't RSVP on his way out, KWIM? I don't even get annoyed at non-RSVPers anymore, I just call if they don't RSVP so I am prepared.
