Pediatricians
Hello! I am a patient of Dr. Klein and he recommended Dr. Altman for a pediatrician, as he brought his kids to him. My husband and I interviewed him today and are having second thoughts. We are assuming Dr. Altman is a great doctor, however he is up their in age and will probably retire within the next 12 years and there is no separate entrance for sick children. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a pediatrician? Thank You

Re: Pediatricians
We are going to Seaford Pediatrics. We were recommended there by so many people so we chose not to bother with interviews or anything.
Not sure if that location works for you...

Re: Pediatricians
We live in Levittown. Any practice in Nassau or Eastern Suffolk would be great. I am going to check out Seaford Pedo, more suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Re: Pediatricians
I take my DD to Dr Banks in Merrick. My sister's 5 kids go there as well, and so do the twins I babysit (on my recco).
There is no separate entrance for sick visits but there are separate waiting areas.

We go to Seaford Peds. I LOVE them. They don't do interviews though. I live in Seaford, so its convienent for me. I went with them because they were recommended to us by the nurses who did our child birthing class at Winthrop when I was preggo with DD #1.

I go to Central LI ped and see Dr Wolfson. They are in Bethpage. No separate entrance for sick kids but different waiting areas and when you have a newborn they take you right into the room so you are not sitting in the waiting area at all.
Love them. have seen a few of the Drs there and all have been great so far.

Re: Pediatricians
OMG..I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Rubin (Mineola). I left my old ped for a few reasons - little one on one, never knew my kids names, and long wait. Dr. Rubin is a 180 from this practice. Spends tons of time with you, very reassuring and is a lactation consultant - which is huge. She was just chosen the best ped in long island also...LOVE HER!!!
