Pediatricians

We met with a few practices, however, I am loving Pediatric Healthcare of Long Island. They have offices in Bellmore and Woodmere. Do any of you girls use them? or know someone who does?

I have not even bugun to look for a pediatrician. I shoudl really start since I am just beginning my 35th week today

lol yes you definitly should start your search. Im usually a big fan of referrals, however, we recently moved to the area so I did extensive research on ped's.

My search started out with about 5 practices, and PHLI had my interest from the very beginning. When I called for information I spoke to a person rather than a recording service. I was also happy to learn that they offered a "parenting class". Really this was a meet and greet with the doctor who was VERY nice, and explained how the practice runs since there are 2 offices. They are open 365 days a year, and are always available via pager. They are affiliated with N.S. Manhasset (I will be delivering there), LIJ and Winthrop. Another plus was they do all of their bloodwork and labs right there in the office. A lot of the practices send you to a lab to have this stuff done. Overall, I got a really good feeling there, and was very happy the doctor was able to answer any and all questions we had.

They were on my list to look at. There is a lot of information about them on the Parenting board. I would do a search there or make a post.

Also, check out Bellmore-Merrick Pediatrics. I'm going to there meet and greet next weekend.
