Pediatrician Recommendations - RVC/Oceanside
Would love any recommendations for a pediatrician in the RVC or Oceanside area.

How about Merrick Rd in Baldwin?
RAVE RAVE RAVE over this man...he's young and just fabulous - works 7 days a week! They do blood work in office which I think is HUGE...DD needed it done days shy of 8 weeks old - he was able to do it in office where my DD's pediatrician would have sent her to the hospital where they would have done all unnecessary tests on her at that young age.
Sorry I should note he is not our pediatrician...many friends and family use him - I was visiting the area and when DD got a fever at that young age I brought her to him right away...he's THE best. Can't say enough good things about this man - so kind and caring. I should mention he is more on the laid back side which I love.

I am going to meet with Dr. Forgione in RVC - across from Home Goods next Saturday - if you want I can let you know what I think
I recevied the recommendation from a friend
There are also the East Rockaway Peds that get so many rave reviews - I wanted them but they don't take my insurance

I. Use east rock away pediatrics! I live in Oceanside it's a 5 min ride. I love all my dr's there, especially Dr. Dellorusso ! They also have a lab on site.

Dr. Abrons in Rockville Centre. He is wonderful. I do not go to him however he is a friend and I do know several people that use him and love him. They have weekend hours too.

I highly, highly, highly recommend Dr. Lisa Forgione. She and the other two doctors are fabulous! She is the cousin of my husband's best friend since he was little and my OB recommended her without even knowing that my husband knew her! My son is almost 4. She's been seeing him since birth and I have another on the way. All of our friends go to her. Fm with any questions.

Dude! Ask me, I have been at the doctors 5 times in the last month 
We go to East Rockaway Pediatrics as well. Right on Main Street and probably a few minutes from you
Dr Dellarusso is our main guy (little Italian guy who's wife is chief of Pediatrics at LIJ), but honestly I have been more than thrilled with each and every other doctor at that practice and am NEVER concerned.
If I call them at 8:30 in the AM and Bella is sick, I am usually there by 9 am. We used to drive from LB back in the day.
The thing that sold me and may help you...they have LATE hours, so when I wanted to make ALL of the well visits that first year...it wasn't a problem.
Just about every child we are friends with now go there...and I literally recommended it to about ten lovely women on this board.

I used to use him as a kid!!!!  I can say from a patient's perspective, I was always very happy there!!  They kicked me out when I was 22 ... Oh well........

LOL, Kel. I know, you're right...I copied his name down a long time ago from you. ;) He's on my list but I am happy to hear he fits you in in a pinch & has late hours. I just wasn't sure how far they were from me. I want something around 5 minutes away if possible. I plan on calling next week. This to-do list is getting long, LOL!

I live in Oceanside and use him and LOVE this office!!!!! He is great!!!! He makes you feel comfortable and not silly for asking questions. I love how he talks about the things that baby will start doing, so you know what to expect. e throughly checks DS every visit. I also like that he is okay with us waiting a week or 2 after a shot to give another one. We try not to give him 2 shots at one time.
His office staff is very nice and I have never had an issue getting an appt whenI thought DS was sick. They are very good about getting babies in early in the AM so not to be with older sick kids.
