Pediatric ophthalmologist - Updated - Glasses?
Can anyone recommend, preferably Suffolk?
Thank you!
Update: so we took him to Dr. Mansoor Movaghar, thank you for the rec. Turns out he does indeed need glasses.
where do we bring him? he is 5. This may seem like a silly question...but the doctor said we need to go somewhere reputable to ensure he is fitted correctly.
NO ONE is my family wears prescription glasses...so I am a fish out of water here, lol.

Re: Pediatric ophthalmologist
Yes! I have an AMAZING one. Let me find the contact info.
Here it is:
Dr. Mansoor Movaghar.
Stonybrook Pediatric Opthomology
He is just amazing with kids. As is the the whole staff there- they were so great with my DD.
We went to the office in Commack, but they have one in East Setauket too. The Commack office was beautiful and brand new.

Re: Pediatric ophthalmologist - Updated - Glasses?
We use Davis Vision for glasses for DH and I (DD did not need glasses yet when we took her to Dr Movaghar but probably will in the next year). We go there for us because it's covered by our insurance. They have always been fine so I'd probably take her there too when the time comes.

how much do they typically cost?
I opted out of our vision plan of course because neither of us ever needed...guess I will have to add next enrollment..

I think that's the new name of Davis Vision actually. I haven't gone there in so long that I forgot!

My dd has been wearing glasses for a few years now and this past year my DH forgot to re enroll in the vision plan... I believe we paid about $200 for her newest pair. Maybe a little more.. like $220? My DD also always picks the more expensive/designer ones though lol

We use Davis Vision also. The good thing about them is that if your DS breaks his glasses they will replace them for free (one year guarantee) which is great with kids. They also will do adjustments and small repairs for free. We've been taking DS there since he was about 8.

We used Davis Vision last year and then BJs this year. Get 2 pairs because they get broken and you'll need a backup.
