Drs. Kristal and Haymen are the best. They have offices in New Hyde Park and East Setauket. We see dr Kristal.

My 5 month old has a hemangioma that is being watched by both Haymen and Kristal (just depends on who has a more convenient appt). They are both wonderful - great bedside manner too.

Have you tried tea tree oil for the molloscum? We started adding it to dd's baths and it cleared it up really quickly.

I bought it but never used it. I tried the apple cider vinegar which did nothing.

Yeah the vinegar just made dd cry bc it hurt. We just put a small amount of the oil right in the bath and within a week or two they were quickly disappearing. That was after months of the ped telling us to just wait it out.

No recommendation as I'm out of state, but my DD had severe molloscum last year all over legs and butt. We tried all the natural and OTC stuff to no avail. We finally went to ped dermatologist who rx'd Zyclara (aka /Aldara). It's a foam type medicine, and it cleared up in a matter of a couple weeks. It was amazing. Try to get a script for it if you can. So worth it

Oh awesome. I'll ask about that.

Dd has had it for literally almost a year. Hasn't spread and it's literally one on her wrist. That's it. Old pedi said nothing I could do. Wait it out. Could take a year. New pedi said I should go to a derm. Pissed at old pedi bc I always asked about it and he brushed it off.

Will start tea tree in baths. What about bubble bath tho? Can I do it in addition or no more bubble baths?

no! That doc was mistaken! This rx will help clear it up and fast. Google it. It seriously worked amazing. DD suffered for several months before we finally went to the Derm. FM me your email address I'll show you before and after.

Just an FYI, that seems to be the standard response because mollescum is "harmless" I had more than one pediatric medical professional tell me to just wait it out. my son had 60+ all centralized in one area.

Good Luck

ETA: our dermatologist is in Smithtown, but he has used "beetlejuice" as treatment for my son. It basically causes the mollescum to blister. Gross looking but it did clear up in about 3 treatments (like I said he had a huge cluster of them so we only did a few each time)

My 16 month old sees Dr. Kristal. He's very nice but it takes a while to get an appt. He is only in the E. Setauket office on Wednesdays

DD2 went to Hayman today in New Hyde Park. We had a 130 appt. Got there at 115, and left at 150. He was great!! I think he just got back from lunch, that's why it wasn't bad. DS has an appt with him next Thursday at 430. I'm sure I'll be there longer then.

DD just saw Dr. Hayman last week. He was fantastic and came highly recommended from my pediatrician. The office was run very well and I was in and out in less than an hour (this included the time it took for me to fill out all the new patient paperwork). He had great bedside manner and was incredibly knowledgeable.

Oh great. Thanks girls. We'll be seeing Hayman soon and have a 1pm appointment. Hopefully it's the first one after lunch so it won't be backed up.

Sounds like he's the best on li
