Hoping a dentist or hygenist can give me some input or anyone that has any ideas.

Joseph chipped his back molar on his left side. The pediatric dentist said not to worry about it, it's a baby tooth.

The other day he was sent home with a piece of tooth in an envelope from his right side. When it happened I looked in the back of his mouth & there was a little hole on his back, right molar.

My mom brought him to the dds yesterday. The dentist looked at it for a second & said it's not chipped. His left side is chipped but not his right. He gave him a flouride treatment.

I'm going to look into this mouth tonight but wanted some feedback on

- why his teeth are chipping? DH is convinced it's Joseph's ongoing vegetable strike & the kid is going to have scurvy & rickets.

- do you think I should be getting a second opinion? There was definitely a hole on his right side when it happened. I'm annoyed that I'd have to pay someone AGAIN if this guy didn't look close enough.

As long as I'm asking dental questions

Joseph's new teeth growing in, are not nearly as white as his old teeth. He's not on antibiotics a lot. Any ideas why this is?

Thanks!
