Pediatric Allergist Rec?
Looking for a pediatric allergist Nassau South Shore area. I live in N.Massapequa and need to bring my 17 month old. He has had 2 allergic reactions and I need answers of what he is allergic to.
Please tell me your experience. Do you get results right away, does the testing hurt, etc??

Stanley Goldstein in RVC. I actually see the NP Desiree and LOVE her.
ETA: they did the scratch test on DS who is 3. It took a few minutes to get the results back. He was itchy but it wasnt as bad as I thought.

Re: Pediatric Allergist Rec?
Do they have to be on the South Shore?
I have someone in Manhasset. He is very good. DD woke one morning with full body hives and facial swelling. No one could figure out the cause aside from the fact that it wasn't viral. He walked us through an elimination diet, blood work and prick testing. What I liked about him is that he would have me call him either once a week or once every two weeks depending on what we were trying or doing with DD. He speaks to me on the phone for at least 5-10 mins and is very helpful.
We found out that DD has a list of things she is allergic to.
FM me if you would like his info.

We see Dr. Goldsetin and Desiree as well (we were there yesterday, actually!) - they are fantastic and always answer all questions, no matter how silly they might sound.

Dr. Strauss in Garden City, Right behind Eisenhower park. He is terrific. My son was hospitalized 4 times from 1- 2 years old with allergy induced asthma. He has not been the hospital since Dr. Strauss has been his doctor. I can't say enough good things about him.
