Pedialyte for one month old- anyone know the amount to give?
So, my baby is now on an acid blocker. The doctor thinks that she may have acid reflux. She wants me to use the pedialyte in between feedings. The problem is, she never told me how much to give the baby. I thought it may say it on the bottle, but it doesn't.
I have no idea the amount I'm supposed to give to her.
If you have given your infant pedialyte and you know, can you please get back to me?
Thanks so much!

For dehydration (or I guess prevention from) from her throwing up her last few bottles of breastmilk. I haven't given it to her yet though. Still waiting to see how much to give. I will prob call the doctor's office tomorrow and see.

Poor baby... I would say and ounce or two at the most... That stuff tastes horrible and is super sweet... Hopefully the medication will kick in soon and she will stop getting sick.. DS had bad reflux and was on 2 different meds. He started at 4 weeks old. He wasn't a big puker though..

Re: Pedialyte for one month old- anyone know the amount to give?
For a 1 month old I would think no more than 1-2oz dont want to give too much but I cant imagine why the dr would say to give pedialyte at all...but as a mother whose daughter had (and at 3 still has) AR i can tell you what i did its not for everyone...but I gave my daughter 2 1/2 to 3oz every 2-3 hours instead of feeding more at less intervals I literally fed her every 2-3 hours until she was about 6-7 months and she threw up less frequently held down much more formula> it was hard but it seemed to work she cried less and was able to hold down her formula Good Luck also call your dr they should have a nurse on call that can answer your question
