PCRICHARDS VENT

So our fridge died on Sunday. We have an extended warantee that expires in 2010.
So of course they couldnt come yesterday and they came first thing this morning. Long story short they came this morning at 8am and they need to order a new fan.......which they said would take about a WEEK to come in.
So here we are with no fridge and now they expect us to wait a week?
I called them to see if they offer some sort of replacement while we wait to get ours fixed- they said we can buy a new one and then when ours gets fixed then they'll refund the money back to us.
totally not acceptable. We paid $$ for the damn thing, its under warantee- and we've only had it for 3 years!!!!!
I flat out told them that its unacceptable and I'll have my hubby deal with it when he gets home.
Am I being unreasonable? I am so not impressed with their customer service.

Unreasonable no... but generally this is the way things work. It not pretty and we may not like it... but that's how it usually goes.. you HAVE had it for 3 years.

Although it would prob make more sense for them to stock a few loaners... rather than take a new unit from stock knowing its gonna be returned.... but they don't. It sucks I know. Now might be a good time to buy a small cheap backup fridge for the garage or something.

sorry but thats ridiculous- what the heck are you supposed to do without a fridge for a week- I would call the corporate office- you are rights, its unacceptable
