PCOS and IVF
Ladies with PCOS doing IVF are you taking Metformin? I was on Metformin 1500-2000mg a day with Clomid for 6 cycles and never even made more than one follie if that. But the Metformin tore up my stomach. I continued taking the Metformin when they switched me to Follistim and got pregnant with identical twins but that pregnancy ended tragically about halfway through. This last round of Follistim and IUI I didn't take the Metformin but the Dr told me there was no evidence that proved that you needed to take the Metformin when you are on injectables. I am now moving onto IVF and want to do whatever I can to maximize my chances.
Please share you meds regimen!

My RE had me continue on the Metformin.
The reason being is that I am "older" and they found that taking the metformin helped the egg quality.
I was on a Gonal-F, Lupron and hCg protocol.

RE has me on 2000mg metformin for pre, during and post pregnancy...

I was never put on Metformin for my PCOS...
After hearing about it on here, I asked my GP about it ( not while TTC) and he wrote me a script because he said it couldnt hurt either way..Took it for a while, didnt notice anything different so I stopped
