Paypal help
I just received an email asking me to "confirm this transaction". The email was from "[email protected]". It's saying I purchased something for about $400 and being shipped to an address in Chicago?!?!?!!
There's an option to dispute the transaction as well.
Not sure if this is SPAM or if I should call paypal directly to tell them what is going on.

Re: Paypal help
i would not click anything on the email - start a new webpage and log in to your paypal account and check activity - if a problem call paypal

If you didn't purchase anything. Call them! I would not click on anything.

Re: Paypal help
Thanks. Just forwarded it to spoofs and am waiting for a response. Opened my account (in a new webpage) and it did not show that activity - thank goodness!

Re: Paypal help
Anything from paypal will have your name on it, so if it doesn't you know it's spam.

ITA! They look sooo real and legit! ] Same here. The web sites (if you click the link in the email) are identical to PayPal, too. SO ANNOYING.
Go to the pay pal site directly and they have lots of good info about these phishing emails and how to tell what is real and what isn't. (One thing is that paypal will always refer to you by first and last name, e.g.)
NEVER click the link in emails that appear to be sent by your CCs, Paypal, bank, etc. Just don't ever trust those links, even if the emails seem legit. Type in the web address yourself and then log in as usual.
