Patience
Tough question - How do you become a more patient parent? My DS (4.5) has been acting up so much lately that no matter the amount of kindness we show, he still acts out. There are days that I am raising my voice and not liking myself because I think I am just continuing the cycle. I know it's a phase but it seems to be going on forever.
Any advice...techniques that work for you? It seems that I can be so patient with clients ( no matter how crazy they are) but with my own DS it seems to be the hardest thing.

Re: Patience
Can you give an example over what he acts out over?
For us it became a cycle of constant acting out. One of our kids learned that it was easiest way to get our attention & breaking it was very difficult.
Reversing the situation when waiting, we used to hand out imaginary "patience" for the kids to eat to give them more patience. It worked like a charm for waiting in restaurants, parks, etc.
