pathfinder vs. explorer
anyone have either and just love it ...need to get a new truck...getting rid of my jeep grand cherokee want something the same size or a touch bigger

I don't know how much they changed the new models, but I HATE my Pathfinder. The seat is really low so it's like you are sitting on the floor. I couldn't drive it past 6 months pregnant because I couldn't reach the steering wheel. All around I would say it's really uncomfortable. I would go with the Explorer.

thanks for the replies...i had my heart set on the new pathfinder but i was reading alot of reviews online about the seating not being that comfortable...think im gonna checkout the explorers this week

So we had an Edge for 3 years, loved it. Wanted something a tad bigger as far as seating goes. The new Explorer is built on the Edge framework. It was the same size inside with a third row.
With that said, i recommend a Flex. Besides the Ok outside design, the interior is nothing like i've seen before. Plenty of seating space, leg room.
If you have a DC, put the seat in the car when you test drive. Makes a huge difference and you will see the space you have. We didn't care about the third row but used it twice so far in 4 months. We keep seat down for storage.

I have the pathfinder and absolutely love it. Very comfy, rides great, looks gorgeous. Also, I got slammed by an 18 wheeler coming off the nj turnpike and it kept me in one piece!!! I would recommend it to anyone and hope to get a new one.

I don't know the new model, but we rented a pathfinder on vacation and the back space was so much better than our Cherokee ...we didn't have to take the wheels off our double stroller
