Paris Hotel Recommendations

We're going to London to visit a friend this summer and then taking the train to Paris for three nights. Can you please recommend a hotel that's close to everything and not a million dollars a night? We want a room with at least a double bed (not one twin as I'm seeing Chat Icon ), air conditioning, and its own bathroom. We're hoping to spend around $200 a night (maybe a little more if it looks worth it).

Am I crazy to think I can find this? Chat Icon Thanks in advance!

Paris is VERY expensive... I found especially hotels (hotels like what you are looking for above). We went to Paris 3 years ago and stayed at a Radsson Hotel on the Champs Elyesees. Close to EVERYTHING. The metro was across the street, and we were literally on the corner by the Arc D'Triumph.

We stayed in a great hotel back in 2008 that was very reasonable. It was in the Latin Quarter a block from The Seine & Notre Dame in the middle of everything.

It was fantastic, I highly recommend it! It's called D'Albe Hotel

I loved the Hotel St Louis which is on the island in the Seine. But the rooms are small - it's an old building - but rich in essence.

I've also stay at Relais St Germain which is more expensive.

DH and I stayed at the Hotel Royale St. Honore last summer and loved it! It's right by the Louvre and we thought the staff was so helpful and nice!

We stayed at the Hotel Agora Saint Germain.

Hotel Agora Saint Germain

It's super close to Notre Dame and the metro. The room was clean and well appointed too. I loved that our room had a floor to ceiling window that opened completely to look out on the quaint street below and the church across the street. The area is very hip too. Close to lots of bars, pubs and places to eat.

Breakfast was good at the hotel, but I would suggest skipping it and going to the Boulangerie around the corner. Much cheaper and so good!

Beware, you might come back pregnant! I did!

Re: Paris Hotel Recommendations

Expensive, but I suggest:

Intercontinental Le Grande
Millennium Hotel Paris Opera

I work for a very large French bank & these are the most preferred.
