Panic is starting to set in

Looks like I'm going to be hosting Thanksgiving and I can't really cook
I did make the turkey last year thanks to step by step instructions from my mom via skype but since my in-laws don't fly in until wednesday eve, it's all on me to do the shopping and preparing. My SIL is a health nut while I am the junk food queen so I don't even know where to start!

First, take a deep breath ! Sit down and on a piece of paper think about what your menu will be.

-Appetizers
-Main course (turkey)
-Sides
-Desserts

Then on a separate piece of paper prepare your shopping list.

There are so many awesome ladies on here that can help you with how-tos, recipes and ideas.

Do you need help with making a menu and/or recipes? I think between all of us we can come up with a nice menu that is not tooo hard and that you can 'make ahead' to help out with the stress. In addition, once the parents arrive you can totally throw mom in the kitchen to take over if need be

Thanks guys I spoke with my SIL a little while ago. Wonder if she stalks these boards because shortly after I posted this she called asking about Thanksgiving menu She is more than willing to roll up her sleeves and help in the kitchen I just promised her to have all the ingredients she'll need. Oh and she wants an organic turkey looks like I'm headed to whole foods!
