Pajamas and undies for the hospital

What type of PJs did you ladies bring/ plan to bring to the hospital? Did you buy new pajamas for the hospital? If so, from where?

Also, are there special underwear for after delivery?

Its best to bring granny panties. If you deliver vaginally you will be bleeding so you will have to use pads. After having DS they stuffed me with chucks pads so big underwear are best.
I bought new pjs this time bottoms from target and old navy and nursing tops from motherhood.

I got nursing pajamas at motherhood. They are all dark colors.

As far as panties I got the cheapest pair of granny panties I could find. I found a lot at walmart. I figure I'll through them out right after anyway.

I went to Marshalls and got a few pairs of granny panties. I think I have 4 or 6 pairs.

PJs - I ordered a set of PJs from Motherhood - plus I bought a cheap bathrobe, a few large t-shirts and pairs of comfy (huge) PJ bottoms from Kohls.

I hope I have enough.....I really don't know what to expect

I bought alot of loungy type outfits from the Gap. Like gray cotton pants and shelf tanks with light cotton shirts and cotton hoodies to go over the tanks. This way I could nap in them and wear them during the day when I had visitors and I didn't feel like I was in pajamas.

There are mesh type undies to wear after delivery, bc regardless of vaginal or c-section delivery, you'll have to wear a pretty heavy pad for a while. I wore the undies for a day, then switched to my own. I had cotton undies (boy short type) from the Gap that I wore. They weren't brand new, actually they were pretty old and I'm glad I had them bc I didn't care if they got stained.

I just plan on wearing some put together sweat pant/ work out pants with loose waist bands and shelf/nursing tanks with a hoodie. I figured I can sleep in them and also look somewhat presentable when people come in and out.

i got inexpensive pj's and a robe from target- all dark colors- nightgown and a top and bottoms.
i didn't end up wearing them- i stayed in the hospital gown the whole time.
i wore the robe 1x.

the hospital gave me undies to wear.
i bought briefs from motherhood maternity, but didn't wear them until a few days after i got home.
i got a bunch of the hospital mesh undies to take home w/ me.

Regardless if you deliver vaginally or c-section you will be bleeding heavily post partum.

I used granny panties in the hospital and a few weeks following delivery.

As far as pjs are concerned, I stayed in the gown for the first 2 days. Then I just wore very loose t-shirts and boxers and/or loose pants. Good thing I had loose clothes since I wound up with an emergency c-section, they didn't affect my incision.

I just bought 3 nursing gowns today. My sister (a 4 time mommy) said to stick with gowns, she said pants were a pita, so I went with her advice. As for undies, not sure yet, I was seriously thinking about some sort of pull-up type depends (esp for home) but would try those mesh ones if they offer them to me at the hospital.

I had a c-section. Had three pairs of PJs with me and used all three... had regular brief underwear... wore the ones from the hospital the first day, then changed into my own the rest of the time. I had all dark pjs, tops and pants...

I had a set of pajamas and a nightgown that I got from Kohl's for DD. I also brought a thin robe and slippers with rubber soles.

I bought a new package of Hanes Her Way or something like it granny panties...

I had a c-section, so I knew I'd need something comfy..

I bought cozy cotton boy short/granny panties from gap... they always have bins & the underwear are like $2 bucks so stocked up with DD.. I am going to do the same this time around as well as get some new sweats/tank's... a zip sweatshirt is a good idea too bc you are hot and cold in the hospital so if you wear your tank and sweats you have the sweatshirt to take on and off...

I remember buying a horrible pair of pj pants from Kohl's, once I saw the picture & how I looked I wanted to die so I will make sure this time all my pj's/sweats are cute!!
Everyone said just be comfy, things could get stained, well even if they do, I am still getting cute stuff!

You might think this sounds ridiculous but I've heard that wearing Depends adult diapers is the way to go after delivering vaginally. I haven't tried it bc I'm only prego with my first but my sister's hospital roommate told her to get Depends after she had her first and they worked great.

I brought Depends to the hospital for my friend after she had her baby and she wore them. My cousin brought them for her friend in the hospital and she wore them. It's what we bring as a gift when we go to visit. It's funny but everyone loves them!

I have to imagine that it's much better than wearing a huge pad.

Like all the other girls said bring granny panties!! They are comfortable and thats all you will care about. My sister bought me pjs for the hospital, they were super comfy and not maternity I didnt need nursing ones but I did having a nursing bra (if your planning on nursing) I showered and changed into them the next morning after delivering, I could not have stayed in my gown my whole stay, also I used stayfree overnight long pads and they were the best!! The hospital pads dont stick and they move all over the place, def bring them your own. You will need them for sure! The Drs will check your stomach but thats it so you wont have to undress for anything.

My mom bought me some loose pjs. I didn't want my own in case I had to toss them. I am using my regular undies, but they are granny panties already according to the posters here lol
